Independence 2024

We live with different layers of identity, don’t we? There is that deep, almost instinctual sense of belonging to a nation—a feeling that feels so natural now. But it was not always like that. The journey to this point was far from straightforward. It came in waves—sometimes fierce resistance, other times the quiet power of non-cooperation.

These memories we hold onto—they are not just about sentiment. They are the lens through which I understand freedom. It makes me humble to realize that our present moment, our sovereign nation, is built on their sacrifices and labor.

When I glance at a map, beyond the lines and borders, I see the body of a spirit, a national consciousness anchored in history and geography. This spirit—it is complex, multifaceted, fluid, and light. Light in its agility, light in the way it illuminates. We are constantly surrounded by people of so many colors, habits, and beliefs. And yet, all that diversity adds richness to the experience, makes it more complete. Like a drop in the ocean, each of us can reach out, even if just for a moment, to that larger consciousness, to belong to something greater than ourselves.

One might wonder—does this sense of belonging have a limit? Could it expand to a global consciousness, or even a cosmic one? Perhaps. But today, I feel the deep pull of my motherland, as if I am a single beat in its eternal heart, a single breath in its endless life. And in this moment, that connection feels not just sufficient, but profoundly complete.

  1. Stay connected to the cosmos in spite of ur National identity. Work for justice and serve humanity. As a Nation we need to thrive to spread the message of universal brotherhood. My simple logic of life is if tulsi is good for me then basil s good for someone. The name and language can change not the absolute essence or property. Same applies to a humanbeing

    1. Thank you for the insightful comment. The analogy of tulsi and basil illustrates the universality of human essence, no matter the names or languages we use. It is a reminder that while our cultures and identities may be diverse, the core values of justice, humanity and brotherhood unite us all. Thanks again for visiting this page and sharing your perspective.
